Should you have your dog at your wedding? It depends.... I am a dog person. My dogs are part of my family. I absolutely LOVE when they get to be a part of my couples' weddings. Some things you need to consider are the logistics of all of it. Does your ceremony venue allow dogs for the ceremony? Is your dog scared of crowds? Will your dog sit through the ceremony and not bark the whole time? Who is going to bring your dog to the ceremony and bring him home after? (There are services for this.) You don't want to put your pup in a situation that makes them super nervous and gives you anxiety. If you cannot make it work, you can still include your furry baby with doing photos together. This a great time for a first look and then photos with your pooch. You can include them in other ways such as naming your signature drinks after them, having a statue of them on your cake, or having dog treat favors for guests to bring home to their own dogs. Regardless of how you decide to include your fur baby, they will need some new attire. I tried out a few adorable outfits and collars on my own pups to share with you. (The images are clickable to Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.) Here are my thoughts on the suits. Both of these suits are super cute! I was really impressed with the quality. They come in two separate pieces and were not coming off no matter how much my dog tried. They do run a little large. I got them in XLs which is typically what they wear. Meet Ember and Maizey! I don't have a boy dog so Ember was the ring bearer and Maizey was the flower girl. Ember was not a fan of the suit. But this is a great alternative! She still looks dressed up but it did not bother her at all! I think the quality was pretty good with both of these flower collars. The white definitely looked more realistic. They are no comparison to real florals but they are sturdy. I bought a large and it was too big for both of my dogs. They are 80ish lbs and have large neck/chests. I usually have the opposite problem and everything is too small for them. You can't go wrong with a bandana. They are easy to put on and stay on. It could say "Pup of Honor", "Flower Pup", "Ring Bearer", etc. Feel free to share any way that you are including your pup in your wedding!
