I get asked all of the time about what to put in bathroom baskets. Do you have to have them? No. Are they a nice touch? Yes! I am all about the little things and any chance to personalize a couple's wedding, I am in. But what to put in them? What will actually be used? As I was going through all of the leftover bathroom basket items from this past year at my venue, I took mental notes about what I liked. I have a standard list that I send to couples, but thinking back at all of those bathroom baskets that I have picked up at the end of the night (there are soooo many) I think it is time to edit my list. So here it is..... (The images are clickable to Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.) Deodorant: Definitely useful for men and women! Your guests are getting down on the dance floor and likely to break a sweat. Personally I prefer the deodorant wipes. Don't put a stick of deodorant in the basket for multiple people to use (eww). Deodorant spray is fine too. I avoid Aluminum, but Dove now has 0% aluminum deodorant spray. Safety pins: Because fashion catastrophes happen! A little sewing kit if you are feeling motivated. I have used mine quite a few times! Bandages: Because blisters hurt and make you not want to dance anymore! Stain wipes or pen: Individual wipes or a stain pen are super useful. Mints (Not mouthwash): No one wants to trust that the person before them did not put their mouth on the bottle! Dental Floss: It is so annoying when you have something stuck in your teeth and you cannot get it out! Individually wrapped dental floss picks are the best Bobby Pins and Hair Ties: For hair emergencies or to tie back your hair when you are getting down on the dance floor! Meds: Individual packs are the best. An antacid and a pain reliever is good (Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc. ) Hair Spray: Just a travel size is fine. It is great for men and women. Feminine Products: A few tampons and pads and you are good to go. You do not need to buy the giant box from Costco! In fact, grab a few things that you have and call it good. Most people bring their own and only need it in case of an emergency (or they didn't bring their purse into the bathroom). Don't worry about buying too much. If you have leftovers, they are all small items to throw in your purse or car. Trust me, you will use them. Grab a basket from home or buy a cute one to put everything in. You will want a basket that will fit everything but will look very full. Here are some that I like: P.S. This is a fantastic job for a Mom, Future MIL, sister, Aunt, etc. asking to help out with the planning. Just send them to this page :)
